Katie and George had a wondrously sunny and hot spring day for their wedding. They were married in the very beautiful county of Shropshire. I arrived in torrential rain, but the next day the skies cleared and it was a perfect day.
On the morning of the wedding I met up with the guys at The Clive hotel to capture them sharing a couple of pints and adding the finishing touches to their very dapper suits. I then zoomed off to the bridal party who were staying in an equally lovely venue, Old Downton Lodge and joined them for a glass of champagne and some family photos. Katie looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding dress.
Their ceremony was held at the pretty St Peter’s church, Diddlebury. After a lovely ceremony George and Katie emerged into the bright sunshine and we all headed through the woods to Delbury Hall, a couple of minutes away. An absolutely stunning house and grounds lent itself amazingly to an outdoor wedding reception. Drinks were served on the lawn accompanied by canapés and a pianist.
Shortly after we moved across to lunch, which was served in the Hall’s converted barn – light streaming in through the large windows. Some teary speeches and amazing food were proceeded by the cutting of the fantastic cheese cake, or ‘Cake of Cheese’ ! It was truly a work of art!
The whole day was wonderfully relaxed with such a warm atmosphere, it was a real joy to photograph – so thank you to Katie and George for choosing me to capture their special day and I hope they enjoy reliving the day over and over each time they look at their photographs.
